[Note: This would usually be standard practice as a result of you giving permission to a company in relation to a new credit account or financial transaction, eg: opening a new bank account, or taking out a new mortgage. However, any other searches, of which you are not aware, could be an indication that there has been some other fraudulent activity made in your name.]

In addition, alerts are sent out to members via text or email, according to preference, to indicate when there have been any significant changes to the credit report. Alerts, when triggered, are sent on a weekly basis, although a quarterly 'no hit' communication is sent out every three months if there have not been any significant changes to the report.
